For being the last gland in the human body to be recently rediscovered, pineal gland symbolism certainly has been on full display all along.  Seems as though all of the ancient cultures, philosophers, spiritual leaders, researchers etc, all knew of this window known as the pineal gland, to higher states of consciousness.  

The pineal gland is shaped exactly like a pine cone and is known to be made up of rods and cones precisely like the human eye.  The all seeing eye and pine cone symbolism is depicted by most of the ancient cultures and the largest representation known of this master gland is on exhibit at the Vatican.  A thirteen foot tall bronze statue of a pine cone just outside the walls.  One of the oldest known masonic caduceus’s was centered with a pine cone, the Anunnaki and Amen-Hotep both, have been portrayed as always offering the cone shaped bread, The Buddha’s head is characterized and shaped like a pine cone, and of course the pope carries a pine cone staff, as did the Grecian god Bacchus, and the ancient Egyptian god Osiris.  

Plato wrote about the pineal gland and called it “the eye of wisdom.”  It is referred to throughout the Bible, and just might be the Bible in a sense.   And since the pineal gland absorbs more toxic fluoride than any other organ, bone, or tissue in the human body, once you finally become privy to this information how could you not do everything in your power to strengthen, decalcify, and regenerate your own?

Located in the center of the brain close to the more well-known pituitary gland, the pineal gland gets its name from its characteristic pine cone shape. It is the pineal gland that seems to be most affected during meditation and visualization yoga and all other forms of “out of the body travel”.
